In 1956, Whiteville and Columbus County needed something the region didn't have: a comprehensive surgical practice where families could receive expert care without traveling hours to Charlotte or Raleigh.
H.G. Walters MD established Walters Surgical Associates with a simple but powerful vision: bring advanced surgical expertise to rural southeastern North Carolina, and treat every patient like a neighbor—because they are.
